CHABOYER, Julia “Julie” Ruth Born November 24, 1948 ~ February 10, 2026. Aged 77 years.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, granny, great-granny, sister, aunt and friend, at the age of 77. She was born in The Pas as the twelfth of thirteen children, placing great value on family and treasuring their close relationships.
Her love for nature was evident in her daily walks, where she found peace and beauty in every season. Her gentle spirit and enthusiasm for the outdoors inspired all who knew her. She was an avid reader, finding joy and comfort in books that transported her to new worlds and deepened her understanding of her own. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and an appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.
A few favourite memories of Auntie Julie are seeing her walking in downtown Roblin with her little (sometimes overflowing) bookbag making a trip to or from the library. She even had to keep lists of the books she read by certain authors, because when they started changing the covers she would sign them out again, just to realize that she had already read that one. At the local theatre, Auntie had her favourite spot, like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory – about two-thirds of the way down on the left-hand side.
Julie was predeceased by her parents, Alexandre and Mary Chaboyer, her siblings, Roy, Mary Jane Negrych, Ray, Irene ‘Marie’ Pineault, Madeline Ferguson, Henry ‘Buddy’, Hans, Warren, Gwen Davis and Spence ‘Raymond’ Chaboyer.
Julie is survived by her son, James, and her grandsons, Tanner Chaboyer, Kade (Wynter) Chaboyer, and great-grandson, Cypher, as well as Amber Munro, the devoted mother of her grandsons, who remains an important part of the family; sisters, Myrle Hamilton and Judy Martin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
