Rosine Ann Ryan-Lewis, aged 78 passed away unexpectedly February 24, 2026, at home on Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve. Family members were by her side during this difficult time.
Rosine was born on July 5, 1947 in Grandview, Manitoba to her parents Florence LeFort and Paul Joseph Lynxleg Sr. She was a talented, highly skilled, creative, passionate woman in life and work. Her diverse skills were admired in technical, legal and educational careers spanning from Manitoba, Labrador, and British Columbia. She was known for her innate ability to create welcoming and warm home and work environments.
Rosine is predeceased by her parents, her husband Gary Ryan-Lewis, her siblings Wally, Allan, Clifford, Mervin, Hazel, Isabel, and Paul Jr. Rosine is survived by her siblings Irene, Gloria, Kenneth, and Bryon; her beloved children Brent, Rosine, and Jennifer and her cherished grandchildren Brendan, Colton, Audrey, and Jacob, as well as numerous loved cousins, nieces, nephews, long time friends, and Tootinaowaziibeeng community members.
No funeral or celebration of life will be held at this time. Spring brings sun, new growth, softer soil and field flowers; therefore, the family will place Rosine's urn to rest with her husband in the Tootinaowaziibeeng Cemetery. A ceremonial fire was lit from February 25 to February 28 under clear days and starry nights.
Rosine reunited with her life-long love Gary Ryan-Lewis begins their eternal journey as their favorite Elvis song plays.
